Philanthropy and the art world go hand in hand, but enjoying art doesn’t always need to cost you anything. We discuss this inspiring relationship, its various components, and great possibilities. The lasting and evolving impact is encouraging. At the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA), one of the most important cultural organisations in our country, we meet with Canadian Contemporary Curator Geneviève Goyer-Ouimet and the Director of the Foundation to discuss the importance of philanthropy in their institution. We visit the studio of one of their visual artists, Catherine Bolduc, who donated, in part, one of her installation there. Finally, to introduce the subject and better understand the various actions that philanthropy can take, we meet an expert, Caroline Bergeron, Director of the Philanthropy program at the University of Montreal.
