This week on Writers Unbound, host Shelley Pomerance meets Tara McGowan-Ross, whose memoir, Nothing Will Be Different, tackles her struggles with alcohol, monogamy, and depression, while Baharan Baniahmadi’s Prophetess is a surrealistic tale about a young Iranian girl who develops extraordinary powers to fight against abuse and for the rights of women and girls. Two authors from very different worlds but with equally powerful messages. Also, we’ll have reading recommendations from Drawn and Quarterly, the Mile End bookstore.
