Being a Fine Artist is arguably the most difficult way for a creative person to make a living. Gaining art collectors' attention can be the tipping point to a new and fulfilling career. In this second episode, we meet with fine artist and former Cirque du Soleil illustrator, Heidi Taillefer who has a surrealist and symbolic approach to her oil paintings. We are introduced to the art schools she is familiar with, past and present. One of her impressive buyers is art collector Robert Wiseman who explains his passion for the art world. Finally, we meet Anthony Welsh, founder of Syn studio, an internationally renowned concept art school where Heidi gives occasional classes. Anne is an ardent Montrealer, lover of the arts and well-traveled curious individual. Growing up in a vibrant cultural environment, she practiced dance, drawing, and piano. Studying business at HEC, graduating with a BBA and MSc, she did a significant project on cultural nonprofits. Anne volunteers in various arts organizations including the YPC of the MMFA. To engage her creative side, she established a brand/blog (Jano Lapin) where she reveals her enthusiasm for the art world she frequents.
