The Becket Players is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the performing arts in the West Island of Montreal. Their mission is to provide the public with high-quality variety shows, with proceeds going to local children’s charities as well as children’s hospitals in Montreal. Over the past 43 years, they have raised over $3.5 million dollars to help children.

The Cook for a Cure fundraiser is comprised of two events: an intergenerational cookbook launch event followed a week later by a dinner of the top recipes from the $40 cookbook sponsored by the English Montreal School Board. Proceeds go to support the Alzheimer Society of Montreal. This year, the book is called “Happiness is Homemade.” The kids tell stories of their parents and grandparents through the recipes they present.
Launch event: April 25th, Leonardo da Vinci Centre
